BEE UYEN PHUONG
Founder/ Piano Teacher
Bee Uyen Phuong is the founder of Bee Music School, she is currently working in Orange Unified School District as a music teacher. She graduated Master in music at New England Conservatory, also received Bachelor of jazz performance at Berklee College of Music.
Ms Bee has received many awards and made many television appearances, She played different types of music from classical to jazz and the thrilling possibility of improvisation.She has taught students of all ages and levels of advancement in colleges and her private student.
KIM THANH NGUYEN
Piano/Vocal Teacher
Kim Thanh Nguyen received her Honor Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education with Choral Conducting emphasis and Single Subject Teaching Credential from California State University of Fullerton. She also earned a Digital Music Production Certificate from Santa Ana College.
Kim Thanh is currently the director of Ngan Thong Choir at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (Westminster) and a music educator at Fullerton Elementary School District. Thanh has been teaching voice and piano lessons at Bee Music School since 2017, where she has built strong relationships with her students and all the faculty members. Besides, she is a freelance singer and song writer who has been performing actively in the Orange County areas since 2010.
Thanh has a fun, outgoing and energetic personality which students seem to respond to positively. Thanh is experienced in working with individuals and large numbers of students as well as working with different age groups. She loves to share the passion and the enjoyment of learning and making music. Kim Thanh always strives for excellence in her students and herself in everything.
CATHERINE CHEN
Piano/Violin Teacher
Catherine is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Piano Performance. She has had masterclasses with Russell Sherman, Luba Ugorski and Wha Kyung Byun among others. As well as her piano studies, she is a first violinist in the CSUF Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs with the New Music Ensemble. Recently, she co- founded the ensemble Lux Musicalis which aims to highlight new music and early music from composers around the world.
She is currently an instrumental accompanist at Cal State Fullerton and accompanies opera singers from OCAVA in Italy. She is passionate about foreign languages and is doing research in Arabic and hopes in the future to travel to experience non-Western musical culture.
Working as a teacher, Catherine encourages her students to discover what music means to them personally. She employs a flexible approach to teaching, changing her methods to correspond with the student’s personality.
AMANDA CHEUNG
Piano Teacher
Amanda Cheung began studying the piano at the age of four. She successfully completed the Music Teachers’ Association of California Certificate of Merit and won numerous awards in the United States Music Open Competition. In 2011, she auditioned for the American Fine Arts Festival, winning an opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall in New York.
Amanda received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law and Society from the University of California, Irvine, studying under the tutelage of Lorna Griffitt. While at UCI, Amanda received the Alice Lowell Memorial Scholarship for outstanding piano performance. In 2018, she attended the Orfeo Music Festival in Italy, where she worked under world-renowned piano professors in an intensive music program encompassing master classes, piano training, and performances. She placed third in the Orfeo International Music Competition.
Piano has been a passion for Amanda for many years, and she hopes to inspire students with the happiness of music!
RENZO RODRIGUEZ
Guitar/Bass Teacher
From humble roots, Mr. Rodriguez, an avid student of music for over 10 years, has made a career pursuing his life’s passion through hard work and dedication.
When he is not learning he is teaching private lessons in Southern California. Coming from a place of service and an attention to detail, Renzo emphasizes strict technical prowess with a casual demeanor providing a creative and exciting environment for learning.
As a guitarist he is classically trained and proficient in rock, pop, & fusion. He earned an Associates Degree in Music while studying under Dr. Adam Pettit and is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Music at California State University, Fullerton studying under Dr. Martha Masters.

RYAN DONG
Drum Instructor
Ryan is a multi-percussionist and drummer from Irvine, Orange County. He has been teaching music and drums at all age levels over the past years. Ryan has been playing jazz since the age of 14, and continues to play in big bands and small groups around the OC area.
DUY TRAN
Piano Instructor
Duy Tran started learning piano at the age of six. He is both trained in classical and contemporary genres. Duy earned his Bachelor of Music from Musicians Institute in 2016, where he was the valedictorian, and the recipient of the Outstanding Student Award. In 2018, he graduated with his Master of Music in Screen Scoring at University of Southern California. He was also the recipient of the Betty Rose Collaboration Award at the USC Honors Convocation 2018.
LANA NGUYEN

Lana Nguyen, piano instructor at Bee Piano School!
Lana started learning piano at the age of five, and piano has always been her passion. She is classical training and earned Diploma of Music from HCM conservatory. She loves kids and love teaching them piano; in fact she has been teaching piano for 5 years in SoCal and proud to be part of Bee Music School team since 2020.
KENGO FUKUNAGA
Guitar/Bass teacher
Kengo has been playing guitar for much of his childhood before seriously pursuing the art of Jazz at CSUF where he earned a degree in Jazz and Commercial music. He specializes in Jazz but has experience playing anything from rock to r&b to hip hop.
When teaching he takes a very hands on and intuitive approach, supplying his students with the tools and skills needed to effectively analyze music and understand the workings of scales, chords and rhythms to be able to create as well as to be able to adapt and to play along with any style of music.
He currently dedicates much of his time to teaching and sharing his love for music, always looking for new and better ways to communicate the complexities of guitar playing in simple and digestible ways. When he is not teaching he spends time playing jazz with his trio or producing music.
LEON SALAZAR

The courses taught by Leon Salazar are known for being both popular and memorable. Every class taught by Leon Salazar is not only demanding, but also provides great lessons for students to apply in their professional and personal lives.
KHOA NGUYEN
Piano Instructor
Khoa Nguyen started learning piano at the age of six. Before came to US in 2018, he was a student of HCMC conservatory for almost 16 years.
Khoa continues his music studies at a higher education level and newly graduated student of OCC piano performance.
As a teacher, Khoa encourages his students to discover the beauty of music, not just play mechanically. He’s currently teaching at Westminster Art Academy and joined Bee Music School team for 1 year.Khoa is one of our most beloved teachers.
